1906 − Jabatan Ukur Negeri Sembilan started as early as year 1906 guided to product cadastral map number 1 and Buku Kerja Luar number 249. That result still kept in this department strong room. At that moment this department was under control two survey departments, namely Jabatan Ukur Johor and Jabatan Ukur Trigonometri Perak which was founded in year 1885.
1950 − In 1.1.1950 Jabatan Ukur Negeri Sembilan and Jabatan Ukur Melaka grafted after Jabatan Ukur Negeri Sembilan breaks up with Jabatan Ukur Selangor.
1952 − Jabatan Ukur Negeri Sembilan was established officially by this year. The first of Pengarah Ukur Negeri Sembilan was Haji Sir Mohd. Yatim Bin Yahya.
At that time it is a small survey office located in Tingkat 1 Pejabat Tanah dan Daerah Seremban up to year 1983.
1964 − In 10 October 1964, Pejabat Ukur Daerah was opened in Kuala Pilah next to with Pejabat Tanah dan Daerah Kuala Pilah until now.
1983 − In October 1983, Jabatan Ukur dan Pemetaan Negeri Sembilan have moved to floor 7

Modernized Department
Computerization programs at JUPEM has transformed it into one of government’s most up-to-date and modern departments in the State. With the successful implementation of Sistem Pengurusan Data Kadaster (SPDK), together with the deployment of GPS and Total Stations in outstation jobs, this department has advanced to a centre of excellence in the line survey and mapping industry.
